April Fools

So, did anyone play any tricks on you today? I only had one and it was weak. DH came home frmo picking DD up, came in the door and said 'we were in an accident'. Since they're walking and talking and didn't call me from the road, I didn't really believe them. Now, if it had been a call from the road, I would have freaked. Men! *eyeroll*
Today was a gorgeous springy day! We took a walk after lunch and could see all the leaves changing, flowers budding and it was all beautiful! I'm so ready for spring, although I could skip the tornadoes and be ecstatic.
Spent a little time tonight working on a project for ScrapAddict's April Altered Activity. I'm in charge of it this month. I decided to alter music CD cases that my friend Rhonda gave me. Just the clear covers. I slipped pics in and designed around them. I put holes in the middle back and plan to hang them on my wall. I have another 20 to go or so. I want a big wall display.
Feeling productive today. I'm off to finish a layout and an altered kit for ScrapAddict as well. Did you alter anything today? I wanna see! Link me please.

Back from the dead...

I know, you thought I left for good. I hit 100 posts and then ran off to parts unknown. I haven't even visited blogs of my favorites peoples in a long time either. Life has been so busy for the last two months. I kept saying I would post and then I'd get busier. I'm here now though.

It's a beautiful spring day here! Windy, but lovely. We have a new bunny as of a few weeks ago and we took his cage outside, removed the bottom and let him enjoy the sunshine and grass. He didn't know what to make of it all. Sophia just loves her 'Brownie'. Alex' cat, Raisin, loves the bunny too. She will come in the room and Brownie will run to the edge of the cage and stick his nose out to be petted. Raisin (the cat) will come to the cage, and reach in and tap the bunny like she is petting him. It's hilarious!

I think I've been in artfunkland. I've cropped a few times, made a few things, but not feeling too inspired. Of course, my art room looking like a tornado picked it all up and dropped it down willy-nilly doesn't help my creativity level I'm sure. We decided to move my art room to the basement, and so far I've cleaned through some of the junk down there. And then stalled. It's a bigger job than I wanted to admit. And I'm lazy. Or busy. One of the two. Need to go work on it today but all I want to do is stay upstairs in the sunshine.

Let's see, update. What have I been doing? DD and I started at Curves. We went for 3 weeks straight and then this week, nothing. Too busy a week. Going back on Monday though. We enjoy it. I don't have to figure out what exercises to do, or how long or how many weights to attach to a machine. Very easy. Now to just get my healthy eating doing better and the exercising will really pay off. We're planning on going back to St. Pete Beach, FL in either June or July so I want to buy a new bathing suit. I think mine is from our trip to Pensacola Beach, FL in 1995. It's time for a new one!

Haven't played with Etsy much lately. Haven't even bought anything since Valentines. It's sad, I know. I need to get listing again as well as get all our extra homeschool stuff up on eBay (and extra art supplies!) I forsee many busy days in the weeks to come. Visit my shops soon...
What have you been up to these last 2 months? Make anything new, have new goals to achieve? I need some inspiration. Share with me! Okay, off to work on that basement.
(Various ATCs & Cards I've made recently. The Cigar box and File folder album are Altered Kits from ScrapAddict.com.)

100!!! Let's Make it a Doozy!

It's my 100th post. Imagine that! Never knew I could talk to myself so much! I have several things to share today.

Kids are sick. Yup. Again. Guess who is valiently trying NOT to succumb to the cough/cold thingie? Yup, me. I hate being sick. Stocking up on tissues and meds, just in case. Not missing book club this evening though. We're discussing the Christian thriller, Eyes of Elisha. I liked it so much, I read the sequel, Dread Champion. Need a good read, these are great.

DD has listed another painting on Etsy. I just love its eclecticness (is that a word?) Go check our Etsy shop out and if you can't live without something, buy it. *wink*. Forwarning, some jewelry is going up this week as well. Be on the lookout!

Today's mail was fabulous! I'm involved in this Secret Fairies swap for Valentine's Day. From across the pond, I rec'd a beautiful array of gifts. I started opening them and THEN remembered to take a pic. So there is half open and finished pics. It included yummy chocolate bars. Okay, I assume they're yummy. I haven't had a bite yet. Saving for during my art time. I DO know the Cadbury eggs are yummy. I had to crack one open to show the kids. The fabulous Cath Kidston soap, the beautiful glass slide w/lady inside. Oh, and I can't forget the butterfly keychain and the delightful handmade card! Thank you to my secret fairy!

Since last evening, I've been on an organizing kick. Now don't get all excited. I'm just talking about the art room. The rest of the house is organized in stages. But I can't stand my art room anymore. I started pulling stuff while I organize, that I just no longer use and want to get rid of. I'm going to be putting together some ephembera kits and listing them and other items on Etsy this week. I have mini books I've started, game pieces, a sticker maker, odds & ends of embellishments. So keep an eye out for those listings on Etsy, in case you're needing more stuff.

Since the kids are sick and just laying around reading and beading, I took a bit of time to organize my embellishments. I have 2 whole tubs just sitting on my desk to be added to my embellishment containers. See what I have to deal with? It will take me another hour I'm sure. But I'll be able to find everything when I'm done and that means more art, right?
