(COUNTDOWN: 30 days until my beach trip!)
Do you ever have the feeling that you're on the precipice of something? Like the next corner may reveal just a bit of your future? I think you (meaning: me) can sometimes try to guess what's around the corner and then frustrate yourself when it reveals something totally different. I have to remember to enjoy and delight in the information revealed even if its different from what I have built up in my mind. Don't ask me what I'm talking about. I don't really know. I'm just feeling on the edge. A good edge. And trying not to guess (or plan for) what is coming next but just trusting in God and my family and being thankful for the NOW.
This week afforded me a bit of time to work on art projects. A few little kits for Altered Pages.
Altered Bottle. You can purchase the kit here.
Corset Tags Kit. Purchase here.
I also worked on this background piece (you may have noticed it in the bottle pictures.) Not sure what its purpose is yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out. This works for the ArtyGirlz 'Paint' Challenge.
Thanks to my friend Angela who sent me a lovely package the other day of her 'studio junk'. I'm in love with several things that she sent me, like the Oil Pastels, the NeoColor II crayons (yum), the wire, decorative scissors but especially the eyeball ring! I'll have to take a pic and share. I feel like a teenager again. Oh wait, I usually feel like a teenager. No one told me we were supposed to grow up! lol
Don't forget to head over to Creative Therapy to see the latest creativity prompt.
This week's blogs of interest:
Rhonda Stamps (new cards!)
D'Blogala (gorgeous work, and art journal prompts!)
Crafty Chica (everything she does is glittertastic!)
Les Creations de Maylie (new designer for Creative Therapy!)
Something Sublime (as always, her work is gorgeous but you have to go read about the tattoo'd pigs!)
