Jane Austen Book Club

Well, it looks like we're getting a little virtual group going here.
Me
Trisha ??
Connie (my mom)
Kelly (my SIL aka: blog stalker)
Jen (my SIL)

Anyone else feel the need to read? We've started with
Emma. (Okay, I won't say we, I need to run to the library today to get my copy. It's waiting there.) Maybe we'll convene soon and answer questions about the book. Like a real club. Wouldn't that be so avant garde of us?! (bear with me, I'm trying out new words instead of 'cool' awesome' and 'wonderful'. Tired of those. lol)

My daughter just informed me I suck at book clubs (thank you dd.) She's right. I quit the last one. Didn't feel like reading anymore. But maybe I'm moving into my season of it again... We'll see.

Anyway, onward and upward! Now back to our regularly scheduled homeschool and I'm sewing beads on
another pin. Normal day in the life of me...

P.S. I'll be drawing a winner for the pin on Saturday. Last chance to win! Just comment here to enter. Tell me what you're working on artistically or tell me something you like in my Etsy shop.

Ooh...what a cute pin! I wish I had the time to read the book, I've already got two I'm trying to get through! I will have to check out the movie though!

HeeHee! I don't know if I've ever really been avant garde, but I'm game! I have thought on more than one occasion of joining a book club, but haven't. I think this is a good start :)

I am ready to Jane Austen it all through spring break...if Amy Tan's THE OPPOSITE OF FATE doesn't prove too much of a distraction! :)

There is a local book club in our town that meets fall-spring (not during the summer fishing busy months). Have always wanted to join, but haven't. The woman in charge is one of my former English teachers from high school. Maybe this Jane Austen event will get me going next fall.

OH! I'd love to read Jane Austin with you, if it's not too late! I am in the middle of Persuasion now, but I can set it aside for Emma in a heartbeat!
